Suzuki GS 150R

To pump up some heat in the 150cc bike segment, Suzuki launched its new kid the new Suzuki GS150R bike. The new bike is in line with the design of Suzuki R models and the appeal is one that matches international super bikes such as the Suzuki GSR 400 and GSR 600.

One should respect the refinement given by Suzuki while adding power to the Suzuki GS150R bike. Bikini cut cowl, muscular fuel tank and wolf-eyed headlamp differentiates Suzuki GS150R in terms of look from its competitors. There are some similarities with Yamaha FZ16 though. However, the pilot lamps on either side of the headlamps look bit lousy as additional protuberances.

The best feature of this six-speed transmission Suzuki GS150R is the advanced gas-charged fitted with hydraulic suspension system for a comfortable ride. Suzuki GSR150 generates 13.5Nm of peak torque at 6000 rpm and 14bhp at 8500 rpm. The mileage stands at 54kmpl in the city roads with definitely better mileage on highways. The engine is equipped with engine balancer technology generating least vibration even at a very high speed.

Additionally, the Suzuki GS150R is equipped with digital speedometer with dual modes so that you can ride the bike at varying speed in different road conditions. But, on the downside, sunlight causes reflection of chrome-ringed tachometer on the face. The rpm indicator is an irritant too. There are a few who remark that its no big deal on the part of Suzuki to have just modified a pulsar and released as GS150R (too harsh to say that maybe). But for all those who would love to lay their hands on Unicorns, Pulsars, CBZs and Hunks, well all come packaged as one in Suzuki GS150R.

And, finally, Suzuki GS150R is available in four colors of black, gray, blue and orange. It aims to capitalize the 150 cc segment with a killer price of Rs.59,000.
