Kawasaki ZX-14

 

The Kawasaki ZX14 is the ultimate superbike of the future. Kawasaki's strategy for this bike was straightforward, but incredibly demanding. This motorcycle features an inline four cylinder engine that is compact, light, and silent as possible, despite the fact that is has 1,352cc worth of power. The digitally fuel injected and ram air inducted engine is capable of 7,500 rpm, which barely meets European regulations for street bikes.

Yamaha Gladiator SS

Yamaha Gladiator SS is a bike that was launched as an answer to the losing identity of Yamaha in the Indian biking industry. Yamaha promised bike enthusiast a performance-driven motorcycle and hence it launched a sporty bike in the 125cc segment; and although the price of this bike is well higher than the Hondas or the Bajajs at Rs 46,350 (ex-showroom), this has become a killer on the roads and a head turner in the parking lots.

Ducati Monster

Credited as the bike which saved Ducati in troubled times the Ducati Monster was first launched in 1993 to critical acclaim. Sharing parts from several model ranges it took the frame from the 916 family, married to a carburetted aircooled engine ranging from the M400 through to the M900 (M400, M600, M750, M900). With bodywork designed by Miguel Angel Galluzzi it was an instant hit with its back to basics design remit, light weight, sportsbike handling and awesome exhaust note.

Bajaj XCD 135 DTS-Si

Here comes the first Indian bike producer to bust credit crunch myth with its launch of the bike named the XCD 135 DTC-SI. The company, as promised has launched about the six new series and this being the first one in a span of about six months. This is the latest "sporty commuter" bike, as it is now known as and is focused at the rider for whom style matters and with it comes another aspect that is the fuel consumption, which is also vital when you consider the Bajaj XCD 135 DTS-Si. The performance of this bike from the Bajaj is excellent which fulfills its promise of delivering the best. The XCD 135 is powered with a new 135 cc engine which incorporates the swirl induction tech introduced initially on the XCD 125.
